Prescient Global Solutions, a service-disabled veteran owned small business, is seeking highly skilled, knowledgeable, and self-motivated Chatino Interpreters to support a government contract. Our ideal candidates will be dedicated to achieving and maintaining a high level of professionalism while remaining as unobtrusive as possible. 

Interpretation services will be from Chatino to English and English to Chatino. 

Interpretation may range from simple to complex and may be sensitive in nature. 

Our candidates will excel at working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while staying within the role of interpreter and will also possess the following skills:

• Strong understanding of various terminology and research abilities. 

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships. 

• Ability to accurately convey the meaning, tone, and nuances of the original message. 

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards. 

• Ability to handle unexpected issues or clarifications during interpretation. 

• The ability to perform in a challenging, creative, and formal working environment. 

• Must be able to work within a changing schedule as the need arises. 

• Must possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with members from a variety of backgrounds. 

Required Minimum Qualifications: 

• A minimum of three (3) years' experience as an interpreter or in a related field. 

• Fluent in Chatino and English. 

• Experience interpreting remotely via video or over the phone. 

• Strong understanding of ethics and standards for interpreters. 

• Must be able to interpret/transliterate fluently and understand the continuum of communication. 

• Must possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and written.
