Prescient Global Solutions is seeking highly skilled, knowledgeable, and self-motivated Spanish Interpreters to support the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Our ideal candidates will be dedicated to achieving and maintaining a high level of professionalism while remaining as unobtrusive as possible. 

Interpretation services will be from Spanish to English and English to Spanish. 

Interpretation may range from simple to complex and may be sensitive in nature. 

Our candidates will excel at working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while staying within the role of interpreter and will also possess the following skills: 

• Strong listening, research, and memory skills. 

• Strong understanding of medical terminology and research abilities. 

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships. 

• The ability to perform in a challenging, creative, and formal working environment. 

• Adhere to ethical standards for interpreters.  

• Must be able to work within a changing schedule as the need arises. 

• Must possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with members from a variety of backgrounds. 

Required Minimum Qualifications: 

• A minimum of three (3) years working as a Healthcare/Medical interpreter or in a related field. 

• Fluent in Spanish and English 

• Must be able to interpret/transliterate fluently and understand the continuum of communication. 

• Must possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and written. 

• Must be familiar with the National Code of Ethics for Interpreters in Health Care.
