We are committed to delivering high-quality language solutions to our clients and fostering an inclusive environment for all. We are seeking highly skilled and certified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters with a Secret or higher security clearance to join our national team.

Job Description:

As an RID-certified ASL Interpreter with a Secret or higher clearance, you will be responsible for providing interpretation services in various settings, including but not limited to government meetings, conferences, training sessions, and other official events. Your role is crucial in ensuring effective communication and accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals within the federal government environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and effective ASL interpretation for government-related events and meetings.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all security protocols related to handling classified information.
  • Collaborate with other interpreters and language service providers to ensure seamless communication.
  • Continuously develop and maintain your knowledge of relevant terminology and procedures.
  • Adapt to various communication styles and needs of individuals requiring ASL interpretation.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • RID Certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) or similar
  • Active Secret or higher security clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
  • Proven experience in providing ASL interpretation in government or similar high-security environments.
  • Strong understanding of and adherence to ethical standards in interpreting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for on-site assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with remote interpreting
  • Additional certifications or training in specialized fields such as medical, legal, or technical interpreting.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software related to remote interpreting services.
